Brothers
There are eight SSF brothers in friaries in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. These are all urban friaries engaged in ministries local and sometimes further afield. Third Order
There are around 500 members of the Province of the Americas; membership is spread across all of North, Central and South America. The Province is basically tri-lingual (Spanish, English and Portuguese) with some Amerindian languages as well.

Companions
The Companions to the Society of St. Francis in the Province of the Americas are a vibrant and diverse community. They are associated with the Third Order without having to take life vows.
